Kate Middleton in Jenny Packham Bridal
It’s been over a year since Kate Middleton wowed millions in her custom Alexander McQueen wedding gown designed by Sarah Burton. While it was a stunning gown that was fit for a future queen, I’ve always wondered what Kate would have worn if she’d had a “normal” wedding with less of the pomp and circumstance.
Over the past few months she’s given us a peek by wearing gowns to formal events that were originally designed as wedding dresses. Over the weekend she glowed in a beautiful teal version of a lace and silk Jenny Packham bridal gown. It fit her beautifully and I love the new hairstyle she debuted – a braided updo that looked young and fresh while showcasing the lace and crystal detail on the back of the dress.
This isn’t the first time she’s adapted a wedding gown for a formal event. She wore this black lace Temperley gown to the War Horse premiere a few months ago, which was originally a cap sleeve lace wedding dress from their bridal collection.
Do you think Kate would have chosen one of these gowns if she didn’t have a non-royal wedding?
